Sodium Carboxymethyl Starch,abbreviated to CMS is a kind of negative ion

macromolecular substance and it is white or light yellow powder.With the

characteristic of quickly soluble in cold water,transparent colloid,no bad smell

and easily hygroscopic,the water solution of CMS has good adhesion,film forming

property and better stabilizer.It is also hardly become putrid and stability in light alkali condition.
Application

1.CMS for building:used in 821 plaster,cement plaster ,talcum plaster and spraying coating,rolling

coating or coating by brush.

2.CMS for food:CMS has good thicken capability and suspension stability property,it can be

absorbed by body.As additive,CMS is widely used in food industry,for instance,as stabilizer in ice-

cream;as improving agent and freshing agent in bread or cakes;to make noodles looking better,parting

easily and have clean soap.

3.CMS for medicine:as sputtering agent in medicine,CMS is much better than starch and cmc.It also

can be used as volume expansion agent in plasma and thicken agent in medicinal extract.

4.CMS for papermaking:CMS is used as stabilizer and adhesive in papermaking,can improve paper

strength and wear ability.As additive,CMS is used to glue paper to make paper have high ink

absorptivity,good oil resistance and better water proof property.It also used as adhesive for thermal

paper.

5.CMS for porcelain:it is used as binder for semi-finished product in porcelain industry to enhance

clay plasticity.It is used as suspending stabilizer to control frit flowing and make out better porcelain.

6.As binder for welding rods,thicken and water keeping agent for coating,plaster and emulsion

paint,CMS is also used as suspension agent for mine selection.

7.CMS is one of the best active assistants for detergent and textile dyeing.
